ولعل ما يثير الغرابة في هذه الرواية ،أنها كانت مدينة بنجاحها الكبير ،إلى ضابط فرنسي أقدم على قتل عشيقته تاركاً قرب جثتها كتاب فيان على صفحة محددة يقتل فيها البطل عشيقته بنفس الأسلوب.
لقد عرف بوريس فيان كيف يمزج في رائعته "على قبوركم " بين العنف والجنس والتصدي إلى العنصرية في بوتقة واحدة،كاشفاً بذلك عن |إدانة مبكرة لعالم تتواشج فيه الخطوط السوداء والبيضاء وتتعالق حتى تصبح الكلمة الصريحة هي الرصاصة الوحيدة القادرة على إحداث فجوة فيه .
