هذا الكتاب رحلة بحث في الكتب المقدسة، ومحاولة لتحليل بعض ما جاء فيها من آيات بهدف وصول القارئ إلى بعض مكنونات الكلمة الإلهية، وإلى إدراك حقيقة وجودها على مرّ العصور والأزمان، والتيقّن من أهميتها بل وضرورة تواجدها واستمرار بقائها.
الكلمة الإلهية واحدة لا تتغيّر ولا تتبدّل، ولكن المتغيّر هو مدى القدرة على فهمها ومقدار العمق في الإحاطة بمعانيها، فذلك يختلف باختلاف الناس وقدراتهم، وباختلاف كلٍّ من الزمان والمكان.
إنه ليس تفسيراً جديداً للقرآن الكريم، أو تأويلاً حديثاً لآياته، بل هو دعوة صريحة وغير مسبوقة لإعادة التأمّل في كلمات الله التي بين أيدينا بعيداً كل البعد عن أيّة تفاسير سواء أكانت قديمة أم حديثة، ومقارنة الآيات بأسلوب علمي محايد يساعد القارئ على الوصول بنفسه إلى شيء من مقصودها.
