أحمد عبد اللطيف بيضون، (ولد سنة 1943 في بنت جبيل)، سياسي وكاتب وباحث ومؤرخ لبناني.
كان مع وضاح شرارة وفواز طرابلسي من أبرز قيادي حركة لبنان الاشتراكي.
سنة 1970 اندمجت حركة لبنان الاشتراكي مع منظمة الاشتراكيين اللبنانيين لتشكل منظمة العمل الشيوعي في لبنان.
أصبح بيضون عضوا في مكتبها السياسي لكنه ما لبث أن غادرها سنة 1973 مع شرارة.
والده هو النائب السابق عبد اللطيف بيضون.
متزوج من عزة شرارة (شقيقة وضاح شرارة) ولهما بنتان توأم.

Book Description
يتناول هذا الكتاب الأزمة المفتوحة التي تعصف بالنظام السياسي في لبنان من 2005 إلى اليوم. ويرمي إلى ترسّم الخطوط العميقة لهذه الأزمة انطلاقاً من القول بوجود "تاريخ" للنظام الطائفي ولأزماته. وثمّة مكان هنا لتحليل مؤسّسي دينامي للنظام السياسي، ومكان لتتبّع تاريخي سياسي لمجرى العلاقات بين طائفتين رئيستين أو بين قوى سياسية متّحدة الانتماء الطائفي، ومكان لإدراج المحنة المستحكمة بمؤسسة حيوية هي الجامعة اللبنانية في شبكة التنازع الذي ارتسمت ملامحه في الحروب المتعاقبة على البلاد. فوق ذلك، لا يقتصر الأمر على وصف الأزمة وتعليلها، إنّما يصوغ توجّهات وحلول تشير إلى المخارج وترسم سبلاً للمعالجة.
يذكر أن أحمد بيضون مفكّر وكاتب لبناني.حائز دكتوراه دولة في الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية من جامعة باريس – السوربون.درّس علم اجتماع الثقافة وعلم اجتماع المعرفة في الجامعة اللبنانية حتى تقاعده من التدريس سنة 2007. نشر نحو خمسة عشر كتاباً معظمها بالعربية وبعضها بالفرنسية.
