علي المقري كاتب وشاعر يمني. يعمل في الصحافة الثقافية منذ 1985. صدرت له عن دار الساقي رواية «طعم أسود... رائحة سوداء» التي رشّحت ضمن القائمة الطويلة لجائزة بوكر العربية 2008-2009.

Book Description
لا اسم لها. وكأن اسمها هو الآخر "حرمة".
عندما أهداها جارها سهيل أغنية "سلوا قلبي" لأم كلثوم، لم تسمعها لاعتقادها أن الغناء حرام. وحين سمعتها بعد مضي عدّة سنوات اكتشفت أنها أغنية مديح للنبي محمد.
مع الأغنية، تسترجع طفولتها الحالمة والحرمان الذي عاشته: من المدرسة الدينية، إلى الكلّية الإسلامية، إلى التناقضات في البيت حيث تمارس أختها لولا حياتها الجنسية الصاخبة في الوقت الذي تتظاهر فيه بالتديّن، وحيث يحرّضها أخوها رقيب الماركسي على التحرّر، لكنّه ما إن يتزوّج حتى يتحوّل إلى شخص غيور ويتوجّه نحو الجماعات الإسلامية والتطرّف.
تُحاصر رغباتها قبل أن تبدأ بموانع تستهدف تهذيب مسارها. وإذ يتحقّق ذلك، فإنَّها تتبع شغفها بالجهاد، فتمضي من صنعاء إلى الرياض فالقاهرة والسودان وصولاً إلى أفغانستان، ومنها إلى سجن في إيران، لكنَّها تجد نفسها رغم تطلّعها للمشاركة مُجرّد حُرمة لا أكثر.
رواية عارية عن أجساد مُحجَّبة تتلوَّع في عالم صاخب بالشهوة ومحاصر بالحرمان.
