ومن أجواء الرواية “وتتماهى الأسماء ولا نعرف القاتل من القتيل!! لا نعرف؛ لأن الأسماء أوهام متشابهة وغير كافية. القتلى والقتلة أٍماء ملتبسة. والبعض تتشابه عليه الأسماء هذه لعبة مسلية: اللعب بالأسماء. بعض الأديان يحرم هذه اللعبة، وبعضها يحرم اللعب أصلأ، لأنه يسفر عن جثث، تبدأ بأسماء تخرج من فتحات الفم، وتتجمد في العيون، وعلى جدران المدينة، وتنتهي بارتفاع سعر المواد الغذائية والغاز والدخان، والخروج الآمن، وتنتهي بالدم الساخن وهو يسيح، مما يسبب بطئا في حركة المرور والمارة؛ خوف الانزلاق”. يذكر أن سهام بدوي؛ حصلت على الليسانس في اللغة العربية وآدابها في كلية الآداب جامعة القاهرة 1984، صدر لها عدد من الروايات منها “هلاوس”، “عودة إلى الوجه” و”مشتهيات”، إضافة إلى مجموعة قصصية بعنوان “عزف منفرد”.
