"ذات ظهيرة في يوم أحد، تظهرُ أمي في غرفتنا حيث نلعب أنا وأخي كلٌ منّا في ركنه: "يا أطفالي هل أحبكما؟" صوتها قوي، ومنخراها رائعان. يرد شقيقي بدون تردد. وأتردد أنا في تجاوز أعوامي السبعة. لدي وعي بما جرى، لكني أتشكك فيما تلى. وانتهيت بأن همست: "ربما تحبيننا كثيراً نوعاً ما". تنظر لي أمي بفزع. تبقى لوهلة ذاهلةً، تتوجه نحو النافذة وتفتحها بعنف، وتحاول إلقاء نفسها من الطابق الخامس. تُنبه الضجةُ أبي، فيلحق بها على حافة الشرفة، بعد أن تكون قد مررت إحدى أرجلها في الفراغ. تصرخ أمي وتتشاجر. وتدوّي صرخاتها في الفناء. يجذبها أبي بحزم ويحملها كجوال إلى داخل الشقة. أثناء العراك، يصطدم رأس أمي بالحائط ويحدث رنيناً. ولفترة طويلة تبقت بقعة دم صغيرة على الجدار شاهدةً على ذلك المشهد. في يوم سأرسم حولها بالحبر الأسود دوائراً واستخدمها كهدف للتصويب بأسهم اللعب الصغيرة؛ وعندما أرمي في رقم الألف أتخيل أني استعيد لوهلة ملكة الكلام دون خوف."
بتكثيف شديد، واختصار حاد يوجز جريجوار بوييه حياته المضطربة بين دفتي هذا الكتاب الصغير. ويتطرق بجرأة يحسد عليها وبلغة تتراوح بين السرد السريع الوصفي والتأمل الاستبطاني العميق إلى تفاصيل دقيقة من سيرته العائلية والشخصية، صنعت منه ذلك الكاتب. وقد حصلت تلك السيرة الذاتية "تقرير عن نفسي" على جائزة فلور الفرنسية عام 2002، وجريجوار بوييه هو كاتب و فنان تشكيلي فرنسي من مواليد 1960. من مؤلفاته: "المدعو اللغز" رواية 2004، و"كيب كانيفرال" رواية 2008. ترُجمت بعض أعماله إلى الإنجليزية والهولندية والإيطالية والإسبانية، و"تقرير عن نفسي" هو أول عمل يقدم له في العربية.
