“خصوصية هذه التجربة وهذا الكتاب لا تنبع من قيمة النصوص التى يضمها، وهى جميلة وواعدة، بقدر ما تنبع من جدة التجربة وغرابتها على سياقنا الثقافى الذى طالما قصر فعل الكتابة على أشخاص خرافيين، لديهم قدرات خاصة، تصنع منهم كهنوتا لا يجب تجاوزه. لا شك أن هذا الكهنوت تعرض فى الفترة الماضية لخلخلة ذات شأن، على أيدى المئات من الكاتبات والكتاب المجهولين تماما، والذين يرمون بحجارتهم، عبر وسائط تكنولوجية لم ينتبه سدنة الكهنوت القديم حتى الآن لخطورتها وفعاليتها. غير أننا مازلنا بحاجة للعديد من مثل تلك الورشة، حتى ولو كانت على الطريقة الأمريكية الخالصة، على عكس ما يروق لياسر عبد اللطيف، لأن نقل التقنيات والمهارات المبدئية لا يعد أقل شأنا فى نظرى من الشغل على الذات والنتح من التجربة الخاصة، مع اعترافنا بأن هذه الورش لا يمكنها أن تصنع أديبا من لا شئ، فبدون موهبة كل كاتب ودأبه وصبره على المكاره، لن تنفعه بشئ مئات الورش الإبداعية والمنتديات الأدبية. كما أننا بحاجة إلى ورش تتوجه لفئات مختلفة من المجتمع، فئات تحتاج لمن يتوجه إليها فى أمكانها وينصت إلى حكاياتها، ويعمل معها على تطوير أدواتها الإبداعية، دون فرض هذا الشكل أو ذاك على تجربتها. كل هذا لا يقلل من تقديرنا الشديد لتجربة الكتب خان، وللجهد المشكور لياسر عبد اللطيف، وإعجابنا بالكاتبات والكتاب الذين كتبوا كلمتهم الأولى فى دفتر الأدب، ولن تكون الأخيرة لكثير منهم.”
