تروي الكاتبة نايا ماريا آيت، تفاصيل لحظةٍ مأساوية، ستُشكِّل صدمةً في حياتِها لاحقاً: "أرفعُ نخباً مع ابني الكبير. نامت زوجته الحامل مع ابنته في الطابق العلوي. كان مساءً آذاريّاً صاحياً وباردْا". "نخب الحياة!" أقول له حين قُرعت الأقداح بعضها البعض بصوتٍ رنّان حادّ. أمّي تقول شيئاً ما للكلب. ثمّ يدقّ الهاتف. لم نرفع السّمّاعة.
مَنْ ذا الذي يتّصل بساعةٍ متأخّرة مساء السبت؟"
في مارس/آذار 2015 توفّي ابن الكاتبة نايا ماريا آيت في حادث بعمر الخامسة والعشرين عاماً.
"إن أخذَ منكَ الموتُ شيئاً رُدَّهُ إليه" كتابٌ يصِفُ السَّنَتَيْن الأوَّليَّتَيْن بعد تلقِّيها للرسالة المشؤومة، للصدمة وهي تسكُن قليلاً قليلاً. وصفٌ دقيقٌ للحياة دفعة واحدة بعد أن فقدت طفلاً، كيف يُغيِّر الحزن مِن علاقة الإنسان بواقعِه، لأقرب الناس إليه، للوقت؟ - هو كتاب في الفقدان والحُبّ.
من الكتاب:
كان يرتدي سترته الخضراء. أعرف ذلك لأني رأيتُه بعينَي. دخلَ الغابة الخضراء مع نَمِرٍ كان يمشي إلى جانبه.
دَخلَ الغابةَ الخضراء، ونظر إلى أوراق الشجر. أرى الضوء يومِض في شَعرهِ الذي كان لهُ لونَ جلدِ النمر. يمشي وحيداً. لا يفهم لِمَ هو وحيد. ولكن نَمِرَهُ معه. كان نَمرُه معه. يضعُ يدَه على ظهره القوي. يبدو لي راضياً. ثمّ يستديرُ الطريق، فيختفي في المنعطف، يقوده الممرّ متوغّلاً أبعد فأبعد في الغابة الخضراء. اختفى داخل الغابة الخضراء. كان راضياً. لمْ يفهم لِمَ كان وحيداً. مع نَمِرٍ كان يمشي إلى جانبه.
ذات مرّة كنتُ حاملاً، وحلمتُ أن الطفلَ الذي في بطني كان نَمِراً صغيراً.
كنتَ تحبُّ اللّعبَ، ناعماً، محبوباً، بعينَيْن ذواتَي لون بنّيّ فاتح وبشرة ذهبية.
هكذا بدوتَ حين ولدتُكَ.
