ـ ولد بيوم 31 يناير سنة 1946 في فالنسيا بإسبانيا وانتقل إلى مدريد وهو في السادسة من عمره وأقام فيها منذ ذلك الحين .
ـ درس الفلسفة والآداب بجامعة كومبلوتس ويعمل الآن بالصحافة ومقالاته لا تقل جمالاً من الناحية الأدبية عن مؤلفاته القصصية والروائية .
ـ كتب الرواية والقصة القصيرة والمقالة وجمع بين احترام النقاد والمتخصصين والإنتشار الجماهيري حيث تحقق كتبه أعلى المبيعات في إسبانيا ، وذلك يرجع بلا شك إلى العمق الذي يتميز به والخلط بين المشاعر والفلسفة وبين الواقع والخيال والنظرة المنطقية للأشياء ، حيث البدء بمقدمات تفضي إلى نتائج تبدو بالنظرة المجردة غير مقبولة ، وبالنظرة العميقة هي حقيقة الحقائق .

كلّ شيء يبدأ يوم إقالة "خيسوس"، من منصب رفيع بشركة حكومية، حيث يقرر أن يعيد تشكيل حياته متكئاً على خياله كحجر زاوية، يكتشف حينها أنه عاش حياة مزيفة، بشخصية ليست شخصيته، فيبدأ بالتخلي عن كل ما هو مزيف ليصل إلى حقيقته.
ومن خلال شارب مستعار ستتم عملية التحول والإنتقال إلى الطرف الآخر، الطرف النقيض، أو الطرف الحقيقي في داخله، وأثناء هذا التحول ستنصهر المشاهد العبثية مع السوريالية والواقعية لتشكّل لوحة تتداخل ألوانها بشدة ولكنها شديدة التنسيق أيضاً، لوحة تحمل الكثير من التأويلات، تأويلاتنا نحن، بكل ما فينا من تعقيدات وشوارع مظلمة.
إنها لعبة مثيرة من اللقاءات وقطع العلاقات، من الحب والعزلة، من الحياة والموت، "أحمق وميت" بالإضافة لكونها رواية هي قراءة شديدة العمق في النفس الإنسانية، وهي نقد إجتماعي لإنسان اليوم، عبر لغة لامعة وحادة مثل نصل سكين، وعبر عالم سردي فريد ومتفرد، عالم ميّاسي يحدث فيه أن يجمع شتات أفكار العالم ويربط بعضها ببعض، لنصل، في نهاية المطاف، إلى زاوية رؤية نادراً ما تخطر لنا.
