الجزء الثاني من كتاب (جولات في جوامع الرياض) تأليف أ. صالح بن محمد الشويرخ صدر مؤخراًَ واشتمل على صور للجوامع المميزة في الرياض وأسماء الأحياء.. وعدد السكان في الأحياء من الذكور.. ويقول المؤلف أنه منذ العام 1419هـ وهو يتنقل أسبوعياً في جوامع الرياض وزار أكثر من 670 جامعا وصلى بها.. وأكد أن الصلاة في جوامع عدة لها فوائد ومنافع عديدة يستطيع أن يلمسها المسلم خلال التجول الأسبوعي منها أنها تمنح المصلي فرصة الاستماع إلى خطباء عدة يختلفون في أسلوبهم ونوعية الموضوعات التي يطرحونها في خطبهم.
ويقترح المؤلف تنفيذ آلية لتفعيل دور جماعة المساجد والجوامع لصيانتها وعمارتها وتلبية احتياجاتها بالتعاون مع الموسرين من سكان الأحياء.
فبعض المساجد والجوامع لا تتناسب مع الكثافة السكانية للأحياء التي توجد فيها في حين أن هناك جوامع أكبر وأحدث لا تصلى فيها الجمعة.
كما اقترح تفعيل دور الإمام والخطيب وتقويم الأئمة والخطباء والمؤذنين سنوياً في أدائهم ومواظبتهم وأن يعتني الخطباء بزيادة حصيلتهم العلمية والثقافية.
ويقترح المؤلف أيضاً إيجاد مواقف خاصة بالجوامع حيث يعاني الناس وجيران الجوامع من ازدحام السيارات ووقوفها بشكل يضايق المارة والسكان.
