غراتسيا ديليدّا 1871- 1936 روائيّة وشاعرة ومؤلّفة مسرحيّة، اشتهرت بخصوبة إنتاجها الأدبي، ذاع صيتها في إيطاليا وفي أنحاء العالم، حتّى إنّها أصبحت في عام 1926 ثاني امرأة في العالم تحصل على جائزة نوبل العالمية للآداب، وذلك تقديراً لأدبها الذي "أبرز بشكل متميز مُثلاً سامية وقدرةً على تصوير واقع الحياة والإنسان بعمق وحرارة".
وقد جاء في سياق خطاب تقديم الجائزة: "نجد في روايات ديليدّا أكثر ممّا نجد في غيرها وحدةً فريدة بين الإنسان والطبيعة، حتّى قد يمكن للمرء أن يقول إنّ البشر في رواياتها هم نوعٌ نباتيّ ينمو في تراث جزيرة سردينيا.
أكثر أبطالها هم ف حّالون بسطاء بدائيّو المشاعر والأفكار، لكنّهم يتحلّون بشيء كبير من عظمة بناء الطبيعة في سردينيا، بل إنّ بعضهم يضاهي في الضخامة عمالقةَ بعض شخصيّات العهد القديم.".
من الممكن القول إنّ غراتسيا ديليداً لم تُعرِّف العالمَ فقط بسردينيا، بل عّرفت بها أيضاً بلدها إيطاليا، لقد صوّرت هذه الجزيرة المجهولة وأبرزتها ك "أرض أساطير وخرافات"، كما قالت هي ذات مرّة.
لقد ولدت ديليدّا لتكتب، وأصبحت في الحال نوعاً من الطفلة المعجزة، لم تكن تعرف إ لهجة منطقتها، ولم تدرس إ الابتدائيّة مثل غيرها من كثير من بنات الريف الإيطالي في ذلك الحين، لكنّها تمكّنت من تعلّم الإيطاليّة، وهي لغة بلدها، بل والفرنسيّة والإنكليزيّة.
