أديب وروائي فرنسي ولد بالقاهرة سنة 1947.
غادر سينويه القاهرة عندما كان في عمر التاسعة عشر إلى فرنسا لدراسة الموسيقى في معهد الدراسات الموسيقية في باريس.
وأصبح عازف جيتار ماهر ولاحقاً بدأ بتعليم الجيتار وابتدأ بالكتابة.
في عام 1987 وفي عمر الأربعين أصدر روايته الأولى " المخطوط القرمزي.
وقد نالت جائزة jean de' heures كأفضل رواية تاريخية.
وفي عام 1989 اصدر رواية" ابن سينا والطريق إلى أصفهان " يروي فيها سيرة حياة ابن سينا و رحلاته.
ومن بعدها انتشرت رواياته بكثرة.
صدرت روايته " المصرية" التي تروي تاريخ مصر في القرن الثامن والتاسع عشر وهي جزء من سلسله صدرت في عام 1991 وقد نالت جائزة الأدب اللاتيني.
وفي رواية " السفيرة" 2002 يروي سينويه السيرة الذاتية لإيما ، الليدي هاميلتون.
وفي عام 2004 صدرت روايته المثيرة " the silence of God" وحازت على جائزة في الروايات البوليسية.
أصبح سينويه كاتبا وقاص معترف به لأنواع مختلفة من الروايات وهو أيضاً سيناريست وكاتب نصوص تلفزيونية.

بعد قرون من الصمت، قرّرتُ، أنا القُدْسُ، أن أتكلَّم لأروي قصتي الحقيقية، لا تلك التي يشيعها المُمالِئون لي، أولئك السُذَّج الذين يتخيّلون أن لا مناص لي من أن أكون لواحدٍ منهم؛ والذين ينظرون إليّ كعروس يستطيعون أن يضعوها في قفص أو كبَغيّ تسلّم نفسها لمن يدفع أكثر.
أنا القدس... أنا الوحيدة، المقدّسة، الكاملة، وفي حجارتي تهتز الحقائق الأبدية الثلاث؛ كل واحدة منها مُكملة للأخرى، وغير قابلة للإنفصال.
لا تهمّني الإنتقادات التي لن يفوتها أن تثير مشاعري، ولا شك في أنني بلغتُ السِنَّ التي ما عدت أخشى معها الإهانة، والسخرية، سِنّ الرُشد هذه حيث ما عدتُ أخشى شيئاً - هل يجب أن أعترف بذلك؟...
