ولمَّا سخن الفول أنزلته من على النار ووضعته في الطبق الإستانلس وفركت الحبات العصية، وتذكرت عبد الجليل، ولا أعرف لماذا تذكرته، وأنا أفرك الفول، وجه عبد الجليل الشاحب وهو مستكين على السرير في استسلام تام لقضاء الله في آخر زيارة له. يبدو أنه يُودع الدنيا فعلًا، وفكرت أن ظروف موته ستكون سيئةً جدًّا، يعني يموت والبلد كلها مشغولة بالثورة!! ثم إنه قال لي مرة إن مقابر عائلتة في صحراء 6 أكتوبر. من في هذه الأيام يجرؤ على الاقتراب من الصحراء أو حتى العمار ليدفن ميت أو يزوره؟ بصراحة، لو مات عبد الجليل هذه الأيام سيكون هذا هزارًا سخيفًا جدًّا منه ومقلبًا كبيرًا لنا.
