الكاتب عدي مدانات من مواليد العام 1938، حاصل على شهادة الحقوق من جامعة دمشق، وهو عضو رابطة الكتاب الأردنيين، وقد صدر له العديد من المجموعات القصصية والروايات بدءاً من العام 1983، وأهمها: "المريض الثاني عشر غريب الأطوار"، "صباح الخير أيتها الجارة"، "الدخيل"، "ليلة عاصفة"، "شوارع الروح"، "تلك الطرق"، وله أيضا دراسات نقدية وتحليلية وحاز على العديد من الجوائز والتكريمات كان آخرها درع أمانة عمان الكبرى ضمن ملتقى عمان للقصة العربية في دورته الثالثة.
