هذه الرِّواية كرجل مشّاء في دروبه الظامئة استوقفته الأمكنة، فاستأنس بصحبتها، وكانت من شخوص رواياته. تلتقيه وتسافر معه عَبْر مسافاته البعيدة من المغرب والجزائر وتونس وتخوم فلسطين.
ومما يقوله الكاتب في الرواية:"... لم يبقَ للظنون حسابها. الأيام تمضي وكأنّ الذكريات خفّت أوجاعها نحو واقع أخذ مداه ليضمّ الاثنين بجوار شرفة هادئة والمذياع لهما شريك، واللحظات لا تخلو مِن يقظة يلتقي معها الخيال فتغلبه الدَّهشة".
