أبت أحلام مستغانمي في ثلاثيتها إلا أن تجنح نحو معانقة الشعر، إذ إننا حينما نقرأ الثلاثية الروائية («ذاكرة الجسد»، و«فوضى الحواس»، و«عابر سرير»)، نجد أنفسنا وكأننا أمام نصوص شعرية، وليست نثرية.. لتمارس الكاتبة بذلك عشقها ولعبها الجمالي على اللغة بشكل مدمر، معتمدةً التقنيات الحديثة المتّبعة في الرواية العربية الجديدة.
بهذا العمل، استطاعت مستغانمي أن تُحْدث تحولاً نوعياً على مستوى الكتابة الروائية العربية بشكل عام، والجزائرية بشكل خاص، يقوم على التجريب الذي يتيح إمكانات هائلة للخلق والإبداع في جنسٍ كالرواية، دائم التطور والتجدد.
والمتن الروائي الذي نروم دراسته والمتعلق بثلاثية أحلام مستغانمي: «ذاكرة الجسد»، «فوضى الحواس»، «عابر سرير»، لا يمكن إلا أن يتحرك في هذا العالم، ويتفاعل معه، بعيداً عن أي تنميط أو اجترار على مستوى الأبنية، والهياكل، في أفقٍ تجريبيّ سمته القطيعة والاستمرارية: القطيعة مع كل ما هو ميت ومتجاوز، والتطوير لكل ما من شأنه أن يغني النص ويثريه.

في الفصل الأول، دراسة اللغة في المتن الروائي، باعتبارها أهم مكوِّن من مكونات الخطاب الروائي.
أما في الفصل الثاني من هذا الباب، مقاربة ما يتعلق بالزمان والمكان، باعتبارهما أحد الأعمدة الأساسية لبناء أي عمل روائي.
وفي الفصل الثالث، دراسة الشخصيات، باعتبارها المنتِجة للأحداث والمساهِمة في بنائها.
