أنا زَوْجُ نَفْسي في الظّلامِ وفي الرّؤى:
زَوَّجْتُ أُمّي منْ أَبي عِنْدَ المَصَبْ، حَيْثُ اكْتِمالُ البَدْرِ في وَضَحِ الدُّجَى،
ـ سَرَّاقَةٌ هذي الرُّؤى، هذي الرُّؤَى سَرَّاقَةٌ ـ
سَرَقَتْ أَبي مِنِّي، سَرَقَتْ قَميصَ الذّكرياتِ، وَحَفْنَةَ القَمْحِ الخَبِيْئَةَ، والصِّبا
وَمَضَتْ إلى المَجْهولِ أُمِّي، حَيْثُ الخُيولُ المُسْرجاتُ معَ الضّحى،
حتّى إذا فاقتْ نساءُ الحيِّ عَلى يَتيمٍ في خِباءِ الجَمْرِ،
جارَتْ عَلَيْهِ، فَعَزّاهُ النّدى
لا أمَّ لي ولا أبٌ
إلا السُّدَى
لا خَمْرَ في الجَرَّاتِ يَفْتَحُ لِلْخَيالِ مَدارَهُ، ولا شِفاهَ عَلى الكُؤوسِ وَلا بَقِيَّةَ، لا كَرَزٌ يَضُجُّ في الشَّفَتَيْنِ، لا لَوْزَ في العَيْنَيْنِ، لا نَهْرَ يَجْري في تَجاويفِ الجَسَدْ، لا رَوائِحَ في السّريرِ وَلا أَحَدْ.
