كُنتمْ مُنى خاطِري مِنْ قبلِ أنْ ألِدَا
شاركْتُكمْ نَفَسي والرُّوحَ والجَسدَا
وكنتُ مُفعمةً بالحلمِ ملءَ دَمي
علّي أُهَدهِدُ ما في الرُّوحِ قد وُئِدَا
لكنَّ في الحلمِ حلماً لا يطاوعني
حتى يعودَ رمادُ الليلِ مُتَّقِدا
رَجوتُكُم سَنداً كمْ عِشتُ أفقِدُهُ
وقلتُ: يا قلبُ قد تحظى بما فُقِدَا
لما كبرتُم نسيتُ الحزنَ قلتُ: أتوا
لما كبرتُ نسيتم شيبتي أبدا
يضيقُ صدري إذا مَا انتابَكُم ألـــمٌ
أُعيذُ أوردتي .أنْ لا تكونَ فِدَا
بَذلْتُ مِنْ أَجلِكُم عُمري وَما مَلَكتْ
روحي ولمْ ألقَ ممَّن أرتَجي أَحدَا
وأجملُ العمرِ ما أنفقتهُ تعباً
وأضيعُ العمرِ ما ضيعتموه سُدى
ما زلتُ أنثرُ خبزَ القلبِ عنَدكُم
وظلَّ طيري يمنّي القلبَ أن يفدا
وها أنا اليومَ فوقَ الحرقةِ امرأةٌ
أولادها عقدوا في جيدها المسدا
وكلَّما بَسَطَتْ عنْ طيبةٍ يَدَهَا
تأبى ذراعُ بَنيها أنْ تَمدَّ يَدَا
مَا لي أُنادِي على مَنْ ليـسَ يَسمَعُــني
مبحوحةٌ لُغتي والصَّوتُ محضُ صَدى
حزني قصيدةُ أوجاعٍ أُحَمّلها
بحرَ الكلامِ ليبقى الدَّمعُ مُحتشدا
فراشيَ الموتُ والدنيا مخاصِمتي
رفيقيَ اليأسُ ما أوفى ولا نفدا
ناديتُ حظي، وقلتُ: الآن يرأفُ بي
فقالَ: (مالي) وأخفى الدمعَ وابتعدا
لا، لستُ أَرجو سوى ربِّي ليُنصِفني
فَمنْ سِواهُ يَرى في دَمعَتي الكَمَدَا
ومن سوى الأمِ لو مالَ الزمانُ بكم
مع الدموعِ تُريقُ العينَ والكَبِدَا
غداً أموتُ وقبلَ الموتِ أُسمِعُكُمْ
لا أَطعَمَ اللهُ غيري مِثلَكُم وَلَدَا
