في القطار تعرَّفتُ على رجل ليس ككلّ الرِّجال.
على وجهه تَعلَّق صقيع، ومدّ وجزْر، وجدار طويل عريض لم يسمح لي بهدمه بسهولة.
انتهزتُ الفُرص، وحملقتُ في أصفاد عينيه قبل أن يغادر القطارُ المحطة، وكأنّي استعنتُ بزرٍّ.
نكّس أهدابه خلالها، وكشف عن هويَّته.
- أنا رجل القصر..
فرحتُ.. لم أتصوَّر ذات يوم، سأجلس قرب «بَرَكة القصر» نفعني وإيّاكم ببَرَكَتِه.
تخيَّلتُ أنَّ الرجل كلّه «قصر»؛ بذلته قـصر.. شَعره قصر.. كلامه قصر. حتى وسخ أنفه ونعله، كانا من ريحان القصر.
لامستُ بذلته، والتصقتُ بهندامه لأشتمَّ رائحة القصر، آنستني رائحة الفاسوخ و"الجوي المكاوي" وهي أنواع البخور الشعبيّة.
لوَّحتُ له برأسي ليستطرد في كلامه، إنه يتكلَّم نكهة القصر بدل لغتي الخشنة، التي لا تعرف سوى أسماء "طاطي" و"خنوش" وحديث المقاهي.
قال:
- نحن في القصر، نتعطَّر كثيرًا، ونقف كثيرًا، وننام واقفين قليلًا، لا نموت إلّا بأمرٍ من الطبيب. الأموات عديدون بداخل القصر، لكن لا أحد يقول: «أنا ميت».
