الموسيقى باعتبارها إحدى وسائل التعبير الطبيعي في المجتمع لا يعقل أن تكون متأخرة بنحو مائتي عام عن سائر وسائل التعبير الأخرى - فهي مرآة واضحة للتقاليد والأخلاق السائدة في حياة العصور ،ومن ثم تكون على اتصال وثيق بغيرها من سائر الفنون .
