الحب أبدي ولكن ضعف الإنسان جعله غير أبدي، ضعفه ضد السلطان وضد الناس وضد الاقتصاد وضد الفقر،وضد المرأة الأخرى، والرجل الآخر.. ففي كل نشاط يكون الإنسان مدفوعاً بانفعال ما.. أو بدافع أو باعث.. وقد يكون هذا الدافع هو الجشع أو الطموح أو حب البطولة، ولكن في الحب لا نكون مدفوعين بباعث، أو نتيجة إذ أنه شيء يشبه الصوفية ، ولأن الحب إرادة وسعي ذاتي بدون بواعث فإن صفة العطاء هي التي تنطبق عليه أكثر من كلمة الأخذ ، ولأن المعاني المادية في تنو وتزدهر ، فکلنا شغلنا بأن نكون محبوبين لا محبين، فيا أيها العشاق أنتم البشر .
