"مأخذُ العِلم" رسالة مهمة في بابها (علوم الحديث) وهي للإمام اللغوي احمد بن فارس، عمل على تحقيقها والتعليق عليها الشيخ محمد بن ناصر العجمي، بالإرتكاز على نسخةٍ منقولة من خط الحافظ الذهبي وعليها خط الحافظ البقاعي.
يتمحور موضوع الرسالة حول مصادر العلم ومن أين يأخذ، يجيب المؤلف "اعلم أن مأخذ العلم من كتاب الله وسَّنة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وإجماع الأمة، والقياس"، وقال في جزئه هذا "مأخذ العلم": "إن للعلم محلين، أحدهما: القلوب الواعية الحافظة، والآخر: الكتب المدونة...".
وفي هذا الإطار يوضح المؤلف كيفية أداء العلم وإبلاغه، وأنَّ له طُرقاً، مع ذكر مقالات أهل العلم في ذلك، فكان ما ذكره منارة لمن أتى بعده في جوانب من علوم مصطلح الحديث، وذلك في رسالته هامة التي بين يديك "مأخذ العلم"، وما تحتويه أبوابها وهي "باب أداء العلم بالتحديث به نطقاً، باب الفرق بين قول المحدث: "حدثنا"، وبين قوله: "أخبرنا"، "باب المناولة أي يناول العالم الآخذ عنه كتاباً، ويقول "حدِّث عني بما في هذا الكتاب"، باب العالم يُوتى بالكتاب يعرفه، فيقال نأخذ عنك ما فيه، باب القول في اللَّحنِ، باب في الإجازة".
تلك هي عناوين الكتاب التي تشكل مادة أصيلة في علوم الحديث، ساق المؤلف تحت كل باب منها أقوال أهل العلم مع التأصيل، وحُسن التعليل لما يقوله، كل ذلك بعبارة غير متكلفةٍ، ينزع في ذلك إلى حسن إستدلال باللغة، ولا عجب فإنه كان في ميدان اللُّغة مُجليّاً، وفي سائر العلوم متبحراً.
