ابن حزم الأندلسي (384 - 456هـ، 995 - 1063م).
علي بن أحمد بن سعيد بن حزم، الأندلسي، الظاهري، شاعر وكاتب وفيلسوف وفقيه. ولد في مدينة قرطبة وكان يلقب القرطبي إشارة إلى مولده ونشأته.
اختُلف في نسبه، أينحدر من أصول فارسية أم من أصل أسباني أم هو عربي صميم النسب؟!. وعلى كلٍّ، فقد كانت أسرته من تلك الأسر التي صنعت تاريخ الأندلس.
عَمُرَت حياته في صباه بالدرس والتحصيل، فأخذ المنطق عن محمد بن الحسن القرطبي، وأخذ الحديث عن يحيى بن مسعود، وأخذ الفقه الشافعي عن شيوخ قرطبة، ونشأ شافعي المذهب ثم انتقل إلى المذهب الظاهري حتى عرف بابن حزم الظّاهري.
عانى ابن حزم من الفتنة التي شبت بقرطبة، وكتب متمثلاً تلك الفترة في كتابه طوق الحمامة في الألفة والأُلاف. ثم ترك قرطبة واستقر بمدينة ألمريّة، وكان مشغولاً بهاجس السياسة وإعادة الخلافة للأمويين. ولقي من جراء ذلك عذابًا كثيرًا؛ فظل يعاني النفي والتشريد بعيدًا عن قرطبة، ويحن للعودة إليها. ولما سقطت الخلافة الأموية نهائيًا بالأندلس وزالت دولة الأمويين، تفرغ ابن حزم للعلم والتأليف. فأثرى المكتبة العربية بمؤلفات مفيدة في مختلف فروع المعرفة من أشهرها: الفِصَل في المِلَلْ والأهواء والنِّحَل؛ طوق الحمامة؛ جمهرة أنساب العرب؛ نُقَطُ العروس؛ ورسالته في بيان فضل الأندلس وذكر علمائه؛ الإمامة والخلافة؛ الأخلاق والسير في مداواة النفوس والمحلّى بالآثار؛ الإحكام في أصول الأحكام.
يُعد ابن حزم درة في تاريخ الأندلس السياسي والفكري والأدبي، وقد عاش حياة مليئة بالمحن والمصائب، قضاها مناضلاً بفكره وقلمه، أكثر من أربعين عامًا، ولكن فقهاء عصره حنقوا عليه وألبوا ضده الحاكم والعامة، إلى أن أحرقت مؤلفاته ومزقت علانية بإشبيلية. توفي بقرية منتليشم من بلاد الأندلس.
