علي بن إبراهيم بن داود بن سلمان بن سليمان، أبو الحسن، علاء الدين ابن العطار
• فاضل من أهل دمشق، كان أبوه عطارا وجده طبيبا.
• باشر مشيخة المدرسة النورية مدة 30 سنة وفلج سنة 701 فكان يحمل في محفة، وكتب بشماله مدة.
• له مصنفات، منها
«الوثائق المجموعة - خ»
«الاعتقاد الخالص من الشك والانتقاد - خ» [ثم طُبع]
«آداب الخطيب - خ»
«إحكام شرح عمدة الأحكام»
كتاب في «فضل الجهاد»
وآخر في «حكم الاحتكار عند غلاء الأسعار»
«رسالة في أحكام الموتى وغسلهم - خ»
ورتب «فتاوى النووي - خ» على أبواب الفقه (كما في تذكرة النوادر 62)
وخرج له أخوه لأمه بالرضاع شمس الدين الذهبي «مشيخة» قال ابن حجر: ولم يكن بالماهر مثل الأقران الذين نبغوا في عصره
