Book Description
سبط ابن التعاويذي هو الذي قال في حقه شمس الدين ابن خلكان أنه كان شاعر وقتهِ لم يكن فيه مثلهُ جمع شعرهُ بين جزالة الإلفاظ وعذوبتها ورقة المعاني ودقتها وهو في غاية الحسن والحلاوة، لم يكن قبلهُ بمائتي سنة من يضاهيه، فكأنه يفضلهُ على من سبقهُ من الشعراء منذ عصر المتنبي الذي جرى الإتفاق على أنهُ في حلبتهم المجلي.
فكان "سبط ابن التعاويذي" كالمصلي وقد أكثر الأدباء وأصحاب التواريخ من إيراد أبياته، الديوان المعروض على القارئ مأخوذ من نسختين في المكتبة البدليانية المشهورة إحداهما مبوبة على ما وصفه المصنف في خطبته والأخرى على ترتيب القوافي قال كاتبها أنه كان الفراغ من هذه النسخة بعد العصر حادي عشرين شهر ربيع الآخر سنة 979 على يد محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن أحمد بن محمد الشهير بابن دجاجة الأموي.
وهذه النسخة تشتمل على جميع الديوان ما عدا قصائد قليلة والنسخة المبوبة مكتوبة في عنوانها أول ديوان شعر الأجل العالم الفاضل مجد الدولة والدين جمال الكتاب أبي الفتخ محمد بن عبيد الله سبط التعاويذي وذلك ما دون له وما ورد عنه من الزيادات بالنسخ تأتي في آخر هذا الديوان كل قطعة فيمن نظمت.
