Book Description
ابن المعذل هو شاعر البصرة وظريفها كما قال الثعالبي، ويعدّ من فحول الشعراء وصدورهم، وكان مخشي الجانب في البصرة لحدة لسانه ولانتشار شعره على الألسن، فهجاؤه كان يشيع بين الناس ويجري على الألسن لما فيه من لذعة السخرية مع تركيز المعنى وتضمينه ما يريب وما يضحك.
وكان للشاعر قصائد ومقطوعات أودع فيها إبداعه وإجادته، فكانت مفضلة في غرضها عن غيرها ممن سبقوه إليها أو حتى ممن نظمها من الشعراء المجيدين بعده ومنها رائيته في وصف الرياض والبساتين حيث قيل عنها أنها من بديع ما قاله محدث، وهي نظرة عارفة بالفن دقيقة في الحكم.
وطابع القصيدة عند ابن العذل بساطة العبارة ورقة الصورة. وهاتان الصفتان تدفعان الشاعر إلى اختيار الألفاظ السهلة المناسبة، ولغته في مختلف الأغراض التي طرقها لم يتغير، إذ كان في شعره الرسمي ميل قليلاً إلى الفخامة، ولكنه على الرغم من ذلك، لا تفارقه البساطة والسلاسة.
وقد تضمن هذا الكتاب ديوان هذا الشاعر محققاً. وسبق الديوان مقدمة ضمت دراسة تناول فيها المحقق حياة الشاعر، عصره أخلاقه، شعره وآراء الأدباء في شعر ابن المعذل، ونظرة في مصادر دراسة ابن المعذل ومن ثم ديوان الشاعر الذي جاء مرتباً ترتيباً أبجدياً حسب القافية.
