من يدعي معرفة حقيقة الإنسان أو سبر أغواره ؟ هذا الكائن المتألم بالأساس، الطامح دوما إلى إحداث التوازن المفقود، اللاهث باستمرار خلف سراب السعادة الذي سرعان ما يتلاشى، الهارب أبدا من الخوف الرابض كأبي الهول في أعماقه... «الباب الآخر» هذه المجموعة من القصص القصيرة هي محاولة متواضعة للاقتراب من «الباب» الذي يفتح على العالم الخفي، أين يصطدم الواقع بالخيال و الحاضر بالماضي والخرافة بالحقيقة. من يختفي خلف الباب الآخر ؟ من يعبث خلسة بعقل الإنسان ؟ لماذا يفقد هذا الأخير توازنه فجأة ليعبر إلى الجانب الآخر، و ينظر إلى الأشياء «بمنظار» آخر ؟ و لماذا يضج خياله بكل ما يملأ الأساطير والأحلام والكوابيس من كائنات غريبة، ذات قدرات مذهلة، تسكن الظلام وتختفي في النور ؟... «الباب الآخر» يصور لنا شخصيات مختلفة و متباينة، تشترك في إحساسها بالألم، في معاناتها، في يأسها، في طموحاتها الواهية وفي انهيارها الذاتي. هي تعبير عن العذاب الذي يكتنف حياة الانسان منذ فجر الظلمات الأولى، منذ سقوط «آدم» من السماء، هي المأساة البشرية الصارخة، كل المأساة !
