أصبحت الأخطاء الإملائية من الفداحة بحيث طالت جميع فنون الكتابة: الأدبية والصحفية والعلمية؛ فليس كثير من المعلمين والمثقفين وأساتذة الجامعات بحريصين على مراجعتها والعمل بها، كما تكثر الأخطاء الإملائية في كثير من الرسائل الجامعية كثرة مفرطة.. كثُرتِ الأخطاء وقلّ الخجل!
وفي دراسة أعدت في الكويت منذ عهد قريب - كان لي شرف الاشتراك فيها - بلغت أخطاء تلاميذ المرحلة المتوسطة من %59 من جملة الأخطاء في كتابة الهمزة والتاء المربوطة والهاء.. وليس الأمر مقتصرًا عليهم، فقد تفشت الظاهرة على المستويات كافة
للإملاء عدة أسماء، هي: الكتابة الإملائية، والخط، والرسم، والهجاء. ويختلف بعضها من عصر إلى عصر، ومن قطر إلى قطر، بل داخل القطر الواحد
والرسم الإملائي ثلاثة أنواع :
النوع الأول : الخط القياسي : وهو الخط الذي نستعمله في كتابتنا اليومية
النوع الثاني : الخط غير القياسي : وهو خط خاص بالمصحف الشريف (لا القرآن
النوع الثالث : الخط العروضي (في ميزان الشعر): وهو خط يطابق المنطوق تمامًا، فكل ما ينطق يُكتب، وما لا ينطق لا يكتب. فكلمة (هذا) مثلًا تكتب عروضًا هكذا (هاذا). ولذا قيل : خطان لا يقاس عليهما خط المصحف، والخط العروضي
