يعدّ ابن سينا عبقرية فذة جديرة بالإعجاب،
حيث إن له مكانة رفيعة في سجل العباقرة الذين
تدين لهم الإنسانية بالشيء الكثير، فقد نبغ في
الفلسفة والطب، وألّف في الفقه واللغة والمنطق
والأخلاق، وتعمق في الإلهيات، درس الطبيعيات
والفلك والأرصاد والكيمياء والهندسة وعلم
طبقات الأرض وعلم المناخ، كما كتب في السياسة
والاقتصاد، ونظم الشعر وف القرآن. وفوق
ذلك كله كان رجل سياسة خاض غمارها وتقلّب
بين مهامها.
وبسبب هذه المكانة المتميزة لابن سينا وعبقريته،
فقد تنازعته القوميات الإسلامية المختلفة، فادعى
الإيرانيون امتلاكه، وذكر العرب أنه منهم،
ونسبه الروس إليهم، وهذا التنازع يعكس الأهمية
والمكانة التي احتلها ابن سينا في تاريخ الحضارة!
