الإنسان البدائي جاء إلى الأرض ولم يعرف شيئا عن أي علم من علومها، فبدأ يبحث عن التكيف مع طبيعة بيئته ، وأول شئ بحث عنه، هو الأمان من الوحوش الضارية، فكانت أول صناعة له هي صناعة الحراب من فروع الشجر حتى يدافع عن نفسه بها، ويستخدمها في الصيد أيضا. ثم بدأ يبحث عن شئ يساعده في طهي الطعام، فاكتشف النار عن طريق احتكاك الحجارة ببعضها.. أما الشئ الثالث فهو الملبس الذي يقيه من شدة البرد والحر، ويواري عوراته، فكان من جلود الحيوانات.
هكذا هي طبيعة الإنسان الإبداعية، ولذلك قالوا: الحاجة أم الاختراع. ومع تطور الزمن وآلياته، أصبح لدى الإنسان الكثير مما يستعين به على الحياة، مستخدما عقله المتطور، والذي ينازع أفكارا جديدة كل يوم، حتى جاء وقت اتسع فيه الإنسان بفكره، وبدأ يسأل عن كل شئ حوله.
