كنا نتدرب بعد يوم دورة الثبات الانفعالي تدريبات شاقة لأيام و ليال طويلة دون توقف ، نقف تحت المطر في الشتاء حين يختفي الناس من الشوراع ، نقفز فوق أسوار عالية خلفها كلاب مفترسة نابحة فنقتلها بالسم أو بأيدينا العارية بلي رقابها ، نكاد نزهق أرواحنا في تمرينات في تمرينات كونغ فو و عدو و كاراتيه ، و نكاد نفقد أبصارنا و نحن نجلس بالساعات أمام شاشات الكمبيوتر لنتعلم التحكم في ذراته الإلكترونية و هي تجوب الأثير . نضلل بعضنا بعضا في حواري و ميادين القاهرة الفسيحة كما لو كنا نلعب الأستغماية ، ثم نجلس لنضحك حتة تتقطع أنفاسنا ، نضحك بسبب ، أو دون سبب، و نحن نقلد مطربي و ممثلي أفلام الأبيض والأسود ، الذين كانت عواطفهم تخر من جميع مسام أجسادهم بشكل ممجوج بالنسبة إلينا حينذاك ، نهتف بصوت عبد الحليم حافظ يعنى أنت مش أبويا، و أنت مش اخويا و أنتي ، أنتي مش أمي ، ثم ننفجر ضاحكين حتى تهرب من ضحكاتنا قطط الكورنيش.
