وقد صادفته كثيراً من الصعاب عند البحث في المراجع التي قام بالاطلاع عليها لاختلاف الآراء التي وردت بها أو لأنها لم تستوف المواضيع التي طرقتها أو لغموض بعض الآراء فيها ..
أما الصور التي تضمنها الكتاب فقد اعتمد في بعضها على المجلدات التي أصدرها العلماء الأجانب عن قبور الفراعنة وغيرهم من الأشراف والنبلاء، بينما اعتمد في بعضها الآخر على المراجع المتخصصة ، ويلاحظ أن بعض هذه الصور لم يسبق نشره.
