أنا (أوديف) أو (عوديف) إن لم تشعر بريبة ما تجاه نطق الأخير.
أحب أسمائي جميعها. يدعونني (كورفوس) باللاتينية ـ (كوراكوس) باليونانية، الإسبان يدعونني (ماريا) بينما يسميني الإنجليز (كراو).
أما عني، فمثلما أخبرتك أم لم أخبرك بعد؟ أفضل لو ناديتني أوديف، أكثر أسمائي أصالة وقربا إلى نفسي وتناغما معي.
حسنا، لن أطيل عليك الحكي. جئت لأقص عليك حكاية مسلية.
هل تحب الحكايا؟!
الناس جميعا تحبها –أعتقد-.
أعدك بأن تكون حكاياي اليوم مختلفة. ستتسلل عبر أطرافك، وتثير في جسدك رعدة.
ربما ستكون سمعتها من قبل، لكن بطريقة مغايرة.
أرى ألّا بأس بأن تسمعها اليوم من فم أوديف.
أراك ترتجف! لا تحب أن تطيل النظر إلى وجهي؟ لكن لا تنكر أن صوتي يجتذبك إلى قصتي. رخيم ويتسلل إلى أعماق روحك القلقة المتعبة.
يقولون إن التاريخ يكتبه المنتصر، لم لا نسمح بأن يكتبه المهزوم مرة؟
هل سيراودك الشك تجاه صدق حكايتي؟ لا ألومك. لا أسعى لأن تصدقني. أعلم أنني –ربما- لا أوحي بالثقة. لكن لتعلم بأن أوديف العجوز لا يحب الكذب.
ربما لا أخبرك بالحقيقة كلها، ربما أخفي عنك شطرها. ربما لا أخبرك بالحقيقة أصلا! لكن أعدك بأن أطرح أسئلة طازجة ستدفعك للسؤال وإطالة الفكر.
حسنا. دعنا من الثرثرة. لم لا نتابع الحكي؟
