تتناول الدراسة الأولى لماري- لور رايان Marie-Laure Ryan ، النهج المعرفي في السرديات، الذي يولي اهتماماً بالغاً بما يكشفه السرد من حياة العقل؛ حيث يسود هذا النهج الموجة المستقبلية للدراسات السردية.
وتتناول الدراسة الثانية لأندريه بيلو ANDRE BELLEAU ، تبعات المفهوم الباختيني للحوارية حول السرديات، حيث تتبع الباحث مفهوم الحوارية في كتابات باختين ما بين عامي 1935 و 1971.
ويعدُّ البحث الثالث دراسة تاريخية في أصول المصطلحات التي يستخدمها الناقد والمنظر الفرنسي المعروف جيرار جينيت؛ حيث تتناول الباحثة FRANCISKA SKUTTA فرانشيسكا سكوتا ، التراث الكلاسيكي في النظريات السردية لرائد السرديات الحديثة. وتشير الباحثة إلى المصطلحات التي قام جينيت باستعارتها من أفلاطون وأرسطو في كتابه "خطاب الحكاية".
يعرض البحث الرابع الذي كتبه روبرتو تالامو Roberto Talamo ، فلسفة بول ريكور في السرد وفي كتابة التاريخ وفي تمثيل الحياة الداخلية للشخصيات. ويأتي ختام دراساتنا في السرد ونظرياته وفلسفته، بحث الكاتب والباحث إيف لابيرج Yves Laberge، من كندا، تحت عنوان " فلسفة اللغة، دراسات سردية ونظريات حديثة في السرد منذ رولان بارت وحتى القصص الإنجليزية"؛ حيث تنقسم هذه الدراسة النقدية، التي تتناول دور السرد بوصفه صيغة ملائمة ووسيلة اتصال.
