اهتمت منظّمة الصحّة العالميّة، بالصحّة الإنجابيّة، وأوصت بإدخالها في المقرّرات الدراسيّة. ما نلاحظه في حياتنا اليوميّة وخبرتنا الإكلينيكيّة هو جهل الكثير من الفتيات والنساء بصحّتهن الإنجابيّة وعدم معرفتهن بأعضائهن التناسليّة، وكيفيّة عملها، وطرق الوقاية من الحمل والأمراض المنتقلة بالإتصال الجنسي. وهذا الجهل ليس خاصًا بالنساء غير المتعلّمات، بل إنّنا قد نجده عند بعض خرّيجات الجامعة. فهل تتمتّع الطالبة الجامعيّة عندنا بمستويات جيّدة من الوعي في مجال الصحّة الإنجابيّة، أم أنّ الاعتقاد الذي يرتبط بهذه الصحّة هو من المحرّمات التي تمنع الجامعيّة من اكتساب الثقافة الصحيّة المناسبة لها ولحياتها؟ إنّ هذه التساؤلات دفعتنا للقيام بدراستنا هذه لنتبيّن مستويات وعي الصحّة الإنجابيّة وما يؤثّر فيها من عوامل سلبيّة أو إيجابيّة. اهتمت منظّمة الصحّة العالميّة، بالصحّة الإنجابيّة، وأوصت بإدخالها في المقرّرات الدراسيّة. وقد أدخلت وزارة التربية في لبنان مفاهيم هذه الصحّة ضمن المناهج. تطال الصحّة الإنجابيّة الرجل والمرأة على حدّ سواء. غير أنّ المرأة هي التي تتعرّض لأخطار الأمراض التناسليّة أكثر من الرجل، فهي التي تحمل وتلد، وتواجه ما يصاحب ذلك من أمراض تُعرّض حياتها وحياة جنينها للخطر. لذا، تركّز دراستنا على الطالبات الجامعيّات لمعرفة مستويات وعيهنّ في الصحّة الإنجابيّة.
