يعد هذا الكتاب نصّاً موجزاً، صدر لأول مرّة في كتاب، في العام 2004، في رام الله، لم تتجاوز صفحاته المئة والعشرين من القطع المتوسط . حيث يوجز هذا النصّ، الذي يمكن اعتباره رواية غير متخيّلة، حكايةَ الكاتب مع اتّفاق أوسلو الفلسطينيّ- الإسرائيليّ وما تعرّض له لأنّه عارض هذا الاتّفاق ليس من موقع الرفض للتسوية السياسية للصراع مع العدوّ، بل لأنه رأى أن هذا الاتّفاق لن يُفضي إلى التسوية العادلة والمستقرّة، ولن يجلب للجانب الفلسطيني إلا المزيد من الكوارث. ويروي النصّ وقائع عودة كاتبه إلى الوطن، العودة المتأخرة والمنقوصة، كما يروي الكاتب ما رآه مهمّا من وقائع خلوتين عقدهما مع الزعيم الراحل ياسر عرفات، واحدة في تونس والثانية في غزّة، حيث دار الحوار حول اتّفاق أوسلو هذا.
