"القصة في الأردن.. نصوص ودراسات" إصدارٌ من إعداد اللجنة التي رأسها القاص الأردني جعفر العقيلي بتكليفٍ من الهيئة الإدارية لرابطة الكتّاب الأردنيين التي كان أحد أعضائها، وضمّت اللجنةُ إلى جانبه القاص والروائي محمود الريماوي، والقاص والكاتب يوسف ضمرة.
يمثل الكتاب إصداراً خاصاً من مجلة "أوراق" الثقافية الفصلية (العددان 38-39) التي تولّى العقيلي إدارة تحريرها. وهو يضم دراستين، إحداهما للناقد د.شفيق طه النوباني، حول "ظواهر القصة في الأردن واتجاهاتها منذ بداية الألفية الثالثة"، والثانية للناقد فخري صالح حول "المشهد القصصي في الأردن".
يضم الكتاب قصصاً لـ 118 قاصاً وقاصة، ينتمون للأجيال الأدبية المختلفة، ويعكس نتاجُهم الثراءَ في طرائق التعبير الفني السردي، والتنوع في تقنيات التجريب القصصي على مدى نحو أربعة عقود، ليشكّل بذلك وثيقةً مهمة، ومرجعاً معتَبراً لمسيرة الفن القصصي وتطوره في الأردن، وهي مسيرة لا تنفصل عن مسار الفن القصصي العربي الذي شهد ازدهاراً كبيراً.
