هذا يومُ القُدس، يوم مَجيد من أيام التَّجَلِّي الأعظم، يقف الله فيها مع عِباده المُخلَصين، يَشُد أزْرَهُم، ويقوّي عزائمهم، ويثبِّت أقدامهم، ويرد عنهم كيد عدوهم، ويقذِف فيه بالحق على الباطل فيدمَغُه فإذا هو زهوق.
حمى العرب بهذا اليوم الجليل بيت ربِّهم، الذي أودعه إياهم أمانةً في أعناقهم، فوفَوا بالعهد، وخَلَّصوه من الأرجاس، ونَظَّفوه من الأدْناس، وأعادوه إلى رَوْنقه وجلاله، ورَدُّوه إلى نقائه وصفائه، مُسْتَعذِبين ما أنفقوا من دمائهم وأموالهم، فرحين بالجزاء الأوْفَى، الذي أعِدَّ للمجاهدين الصابرين.
كشف ذلك الكفاح المرير ما حَبا الله به العرب من فاضِل القِيَم ومجيد الأخلاق وجميل الصفات، محاربين ومسالمين، وأبان الفرق الشاسِع بينهم وبين أولئك الذين لا يعرفون قانونًا، ولا يحترمونه لو عرفوه.
وأظهر البَوْنَ الكبير بين الإنسان والإنسان، وأعلن عظمة أولئك الذين ورثوا مجدًا تليدًا، وحضارة عميقة، وقيمًا راسخة: شهامةً وعزةً، ورحمةً بالضعيف وحَدَبًا على المسكين.. وعرَّى أولئك الذين لم يخرجوا من جلود الوحوش، وإن بدَّلوها وغيروا معالمها، وواصلوا بها التغرير والتمويه، ليستمروا في امتصاص الدماء وإزهاق الأرواح.
