يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تقويم اللسان العربي من اللحن، ويقوم على بيان الصواب والخطأ للألفاظ والأساليب والتراكيب التي تشيع على ألسنة بعض الكُتّاب والمثقفين والأدباء ورجال الصحافة والخطباء والوُعّاظ والقضاة والمحامين والمدققين وطلاب المدارس والجامعات ورجل الشارع العادي... إلخ. وقد بدأ المؤلف بذكر الصواب أولًا حتى يعلق بالذهن، ثم ذكر الخطأ الشائع، ثم ذكر علة التقويم بشكل مختصر ومركَّز. وقد اعتمد المؤلف على المعجم الوسيط –غالبًا- في توثيق النصوص المعجمية، ورجع إلى بعض المعاجم القديمة كلسان العرب وتاج العروس، ومختار الصحاح ... إلخ، وبعض المعاجم المعاصرة كالمعجم الأساسي، ومعجم اللغة العربية المعاصرة، واستشهد بالقرآن الكريم، بالإضافة إلى معجم الصواب اللغوي، ولم يغفل المؤلف الإجازات الحديثة لمجمع اللغة العربية بالقاهرة. وقد رتَّب المؤلف مداخل كتابه ترتيبًا ألفبائيًّا؛ حتى يسهل على القارئ الوصول إلى المدخل المصوَّب. ويستهدف كتاب (قوِّم لسانك- قل ولا تقل): الإعلاميين في الإذاعة والتليفزيون ومواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، والصحافيين، والكُتّاب، والأدباء، ومؤلفي الكتب المدرسية وكتب الأطفال، والمدققين والمصححين اللغويين في دور النشر المختلفة، والخطباء والوُعّاظ، والقضاة والمستشارين وأعضاء النيابة العامة والمحامين، وطلبة المرحلة الثانوية، وطلاب الجامعات، والمهتمين بتعلم اللغة العربية من الناطقين بغيرها، والشعراء، وهواة الكتابة من غير المتخصصين في اللغة العربية، ومعلِّقي المباريات الرياضية ونحوهم.
