"ظلّتْ تقولُ أعوذُ بالرحمن منكَ،
وقضتْ عليّ ببسمةٍ أو غمزةٍ
فغدرتُ وحيًا، جئتُها مُستعجلًا
ودخلتُ أبوابًا بدونِ نبوةٍ
وجدتُــهـا لا تـعـرفُ الـرحـمـنَ
وأنـا نــبــيٌّ كـــاذبٌ أحيـــانـا
ولقدْ مسكتُ بصدرِها الأزمانا
وكسرتُ حـاجـزَنا فلا قمصـانــا.
""يُظهرُ الشاعر في «حرب الجسد» تلك العلاقة الملتبسة بجسد المرأة القائمة بين العبادة والانتهاك، وهو يقارعُ هنا المحرّم والدين، والتابو الاجتماعي والتاريخي والأسرار المحيطة بجسد المرأة في ما هو مطرح الحبّ والخصب، ومطرح اللذّة والمـوت، ومطـرحٌ للحـب والمكـابرة في وقـتٍ واحـد"".
