لم يدرك زوجي، وهو يحاول إدماجي في حياته في المغرب، أن غربتي ليست مكانا، وأنني أحمل في داخلي غربة فظيعة ومزمنة. فقد تغربت في الصين وأنا صبية، يوم استعمل حبيبي جسدي طُعما لعدوه في الحرب. تغربت عندما رحل تاجر السلاح الفرنسي وتركني ضائعة في الفيتنام. تغربت في سايغون، صباح اختفاء مصور الحرب الإسباني دون وداع… تغربت في أسرة جنود ذاهبين إلى ساحات المعارك برغبة القتل، عائدين برائحة الدم والبارود… تغربت في حروب لم تكن حروبي، في لغات ليست لي، فيتنامية، فرنسية، عربية. هناك غربة خاصة بالنساء، لا يعرفها الرجال. غربة المرأة حين يستباح جسدها، وحين يتخلى عنها نفس الجسد ويفقد سلطته على الحياة. حينها لا تكفي كل بلدان العالم لتكون وطنا لها. فتعيش منفية في كل الأوطان . بل كل مرايا الكون لن تقنعها بجمال يستحق الحياة.
