هذه مُحاضرة ألقاها الأستاذ العلامة مرتضى مطهري بمناسبة ذكرى مولد الإمام المهدي المنتظر، وتمثِّلُ نموذجًا جيدًا للفكر الإسلامي المطروح على الساحة الإيرانية قبل انتصار الجمهورية الإسلامية. ويتجه الأستاذ الشهيد في هذه المحاضرة إلى صياغة المفاهيم الإسلامية بلغة معاصرة:
-الغيب والعلم يقومان على أسس عقلية مشتركة. ومن أنكر الغيب فقد أزرى بالعلم. -كان الدين حاديًا للعلم نحو الدقَّة والتحقيق. - الفلاسفة المسلمون أسبق من الأوروپيين في نقد العقل الإنساني، وبيان محدوديته. - المدد الغيبي لا يأتي اعتباطًا، بل يتحقَّق نتيجة المجاهدة المخلصة. - الارتباط بعالم الغيب ينأى بالإنسان عن التشاؤم، ويملؤه بالتفاؤل. - الإيمان بالغيب يجعل الكون في وعي الإنسان ظهيرًا لأصحاب الحق. - يؤمن العلماء القدماء والمحدثون بالإلهام أو الإشراق في الاكتشافات العلمية.
- مسألة المهدي مسألة فلسفية كبرى ترتبط بنظرة البشرية إلى مستقبل الكون.
- لا يمكن تحقيق سعادة البشرية بالعلم وحده بل لا بُد من الدين، ليوجِّه استخدام الإنسان للعلم.
- في كل هذه المحاور التي يمر عليها الأستاذ الشهيد مطهَّري نرى توجُّهًا حضاريًّا... أي توجه يدفع الإنسان والمجتمع نحو التكامُل وبناء غد أفضل.
