وكان قديمًا وحديثًا ضمن من احتلوا المساحة الكبيرة من السخرية هم البُخلاء.
فالبُخلاء لم يتمكنوا من الاختفاء بعاداتهم داخل جدران منازلهم، بل أصبح ما يؤمنون به خارج المنزل بغير خوف أو خجل، وكل منهم طرح ما يعتقده من خلال المهنة التي يُمارسها.
