"إوعى تموت من غير سلاحك" .. هو أول دروس القائد فى الكلية الحربية .. درس يرسّخ فى نفوس الطلاب عقيدة الشجاعة والرغبة فى الاستشهاد والدفاع عن الوطن حتى آخر نقطة دم .. وهو ما يجعل المقاتل المصرى و الجيش المصرى يتميز عن أقوى جيوش العالم التى تخشى القتال البرى والمواجهات على الأرض.
يقدم الكتاب صورا رائعة لبطولة الشهداء وأسرهم... " أحمد" الذى أصيب فى سيناء.. وبعد شفائه رفض تنفيذ قرار نقله للإدارة المركزية لحرس الحدود بالقاهرة وأصر على العودة إلى سيناء ليستكمل مهمته فى تطهير أرضها من الارهاب .. حتى لقى الشهادة .. وأعطى أطفال مصر كلها درسا فى الوطنية .. عبر عنه مازن أحد أطفال اسرته قائلا: " كان نفسى أكون مهندس .. لكن علشانك والله يا عمو أحمد هادخل الكلية الحربية وآخد بثأرك".
جدير بالذكر أن الكاتب الدكتور ابراهيم شلبى، طبيب وأديب.. تخصص فى الأدب الانسانى الوطنى الذى يمس القلب والعقل والوعى.
