نظر يمينه ويساره بخفوت ووجل من بكاء تلك الطفلة التي سرعان ما ملأ جدران القصر حتى كاد أن يحطم كل شيء من قوته .. وثم رأي نجلاء تأتي
من إحدى الحجر تنظر إليه بغرابة شديدة ففجع!
- نجلاء؟! هو انا رجعت أشوفك تاني؟!
نظرت إليه بدهشة وتركته وركضت وراء الصوت ‘ فركض خلفها وهو يلهث:
- نجلاء مين اللي بيعيط ده! استني هو انتي مش سمعاااني!!
بدأت صورة نجلاء تختفي رويدا رويدا وأدم يركض ورائها وكأنه يلاحق سراب:
- استني يا نجلااااء استني
- بتتتحرق يا أدم بتتحرق
- هي ميـــــــــــــــــــن؟؟
