نَظَرْتُ مَرَّةً فِي المِرْآَةِ
فَلَمْ أَجِدْ نَفْسِي
بَلْ وَجَدْتُ قِطَارًا ... ( ! )
فِي البِدَايَةِ فَزِعْتُ ؛
وَرَجَعْتُ لِلْوَرَاءِ
قَلِيلًا ، وَفَرَكْتُ عَيْنَيَّ ،
ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمْتُ فَإِذَا المِرْآَةُ
بِهَا قِطَارٌ لَسَبَنِي كَعَقْرَبٍ ؛
كَانَ طَبِيعِيًّا إِذًا
- بَعْدَ مُحَاوَلَاتٍ عَدِيدَةٍ
لِلرُّؤْيَةِ أَدَّتْ إِلَى النَّتِيجَةِ
ذَاتِهَا - أَنْ أُصَدِّقَ المِرْآَةَ
وَأُؤْمِنَ بِبَغْيِ قِطَارٍ !
