من جديد، أقف كعاشقٍ؛ متورم القدمين، ومُبتلٍّ بوردة حمراء، تقبع بين السبابة والإبهام، أرفعها نحو وجهي وأتطلع. وبين لحظة وأخرى، ألتقط عبيرها الذائب. تويج من سبع بتلَّات متعرقة وتامة الاستدارة، أنصاف كرات متوالية، ميسم عريض يحتل الوردة ولا أثر لطلع؛ وردة للعين، من متاع فقط، بعيدة عن الإنهاك، دون تنافس أو سلطة ذكرية، دون احتمالات تناسل. وردة تشي بختام محسوب للحياة، مخضبة عند الكأس؛ حائض، عليها طلاسم منمنمة تقول: "اقرأ"، ولكني أفض فحواها باللمس.
