أسطورة فرانز كافكا لا تنتهي، يبدو أن شهرته التي نالها بعد موته دفع ثمنها غاليًا بحياة كانت في أغلبها تعيسة. يُلقي ميشائيل كومبفمولر هنا ضوءًا مُبهجًا على كاتب شهير، ويرسم بحب ملامح إنسان يجد في عامه الأخير حبًا عظيمًا ويأخذ قرارًا بتحديد مصيره قبل فوات الأوان.
يتعرف فرانز كافكا المريض بالسل في صيف عام 1923 في بحر البلطيق إلى الطاهية دورا ديامنت صاحبة الخمسة والعشرين عامًا. يقوم في غضون أسابيع قليلة بما لم يكن يتوقعه من نفسه أبدًا: يقرر الحياة معها في برلين وسط أوضاع اقتصادية صعبة، في تحدٍ للأسعار المرتفعة وشقق الإيجار المتغيرة وشك والديه في استمرارية العلاقة. باستثناء أيام قليلة لن يفترق هو ودورا حتى وفاته في يونيو عام 1924.
ينسج ميشائيل كومبفمولر من هذه القصة الحقيقية رواية عاطفية رقيقة، تتداخل فيها بعذوبة مذكرات كافكا ورسائله وآخر نصوصه. ولكنه يراعي أيضًا رؤية دورا كسيدة شابة مغرمة برَجُلِها الغامض وهو عند أعتاب الموت. إنها أمثولة مؤثرة يقدمها لنا كومبفمولر عن الحياة والحب والكتابة والموت.
الكاتب
ولد ميشائيل كومبفمولر في عام 1961 في ميونيخ ويعيش اليوم كاتبًا حرًا في برلين. جاء أول أعماله في عام 2000 من خلال رواية ""قصص هروب هامبل""، ثم نُشرت روايته الثانية ""ظمأ"" في عام 2003. حصلت روايته ""رسالة إلى الجميع"" في عام 2008 على جائزة دوبلين قبل نشرها. أما رواية ""روعة الحياة"" فكانت أكثر الرويات مبيعًا في عام نشرها 2011، إذ لاقت استحسان النقاد الأدبيين وتُرجمت إلى ثلاث وعشرين لغة.
المترجمة
هبة الله فتحي أستاذة في الأدب الألماني الحديث والمعاصر بكلية الآداب - جامعة القاهرة، تعمل مترجمة تحريرية وشفوية للغة العربية والألمانية. حصلت على جائزة المترجمين من الألمانية إلى العربية من معهد جوته عام 2012، ترجمت روايتي ""حجرة في دار الحرب"" للكاتب الألماني كريستوف بيترس، و""ذاكرة اليعاسيب"" للكاتبة ماريسا بودروجيتش.
