تربية الأطفال تعد أخطر مشكلة تواجه البشرية، كما تشير منتسورى، ومن هذا المنطلق أولت الدول والشعوب أهمية استثنائية لعملية تربية وبناء الطفل بناءاًَ إنفعالياًَ واجتماعياًَ وعلمياًَ متوازناًَ ، وحققت بذلك إنجازات كبرى فى هذا الميدان منذ القرن العشرين وتجلت هذه الإنجازات فى ميدان التربية وفى جوانبها المختلفة ( معلم، طالب، منهج، مستلزمات ) ذلك لأن التربية أهم ركن تتبلور فيه شخصية الإنسان من النواحى الوجدانية والعقلية . إذن تبرز الحاجة هذا الى تبنى سياسة تربوية عربية تنسجم مع التطور العلمى والتقنى الهائل ، ذلك بإدخال المبتكرات العلمية الى جوهر العملية التربوية الحديثة، وآخر هذه المبتكرات التى أدخلت الى العملية التربوية هى المسرح . إن الاهتمام بالأطفال والاتصال بهم والتعبير عنهم ،تخضع مفاهيمه للعلاقات الاجتماعية والأخلقية والفنية ، وهذه العلاقات تؤثر سلباًَ أو إيجاباًَ فى ثقافة الأطفال ونمو شخصيتهم من وسائل فنية . ومما لاشك فيه ، أن مسرح الأطفال من الأدوات والوسائل الفنية والدرامية الممتعة والمثيرة فى مجال ترسيخ المضامين النفسية والوجدانية والانسانية والقومية فى وجدان الأطفال وفكرهم وجوارحهم منذ مرحلة مبكرة فى حياتهم .
