هذا الكتاب يوضح ان الصداقة قيمة انسانية اخلاقية ودينية عظيمة سامية المعانى كبيرة الشأن بها تسمو الحياة وترتقى وبدونها تنحدر والصداقة ملمح انسانى ، مبعثه الخير والفضيلة تبنى على المعرفة ، وهذا ما يميزها عن عناصر الحياة الاجتماعية الاخرى ، فهى تفعيل لعدة مشاعر وأحاسيس انسانية ومشاركة وجدانية وهى تضاعف الفرح والبهجة وتقهر الالام والاحزان فى الحياة بين الناس ..يقال ان الصداقة نعمة من الله وعناية منه لنا ... وذلك لاننا لا نستطيع ان نعيش بلا صديق يشاركنا ويتقاسم معنا الهموم والافراح .وعلى الرغم من الكلام الكثير والجميل الذى قيل عن الصداقة والصديق .. الا ان البعض يرى ان الصداقة الحقيقية ندرت فى تلك الايام ، فلن نعد نسمع عن الصديق الحقيقي الذى يفزع لصديقه فى وقت الضيق او الذى يصدق صديقه،... الخ ويتناول الكتاب معنى الصداقة وابعادها النفسية الاجتماعية بالنسبة للاطفال والمراهقين والشباب والراشدين مؤكدين على الدور الذى تلعبه الصداقة فى تحقيق التوازن النفسى والاجتماعى للانسان والصداقة الحقيقية ، والصداقة المسمومة او المؤذية ، وكيف نكتسب الاصدقاء وكيف نحافظ عليهم ، الاب الصديق ، والام الصديقة ونماذج مشرقة من الصداقة ، اجمل ما قيل فالصداقة ، الصداقة من المنظور الدينى والنفسى ، العديد من الجوانب التى تفيد فى هذه العلاقة الحميمة والتى يمكن ان تفيد فى تنمية وعى الوالدين والمربين والابناء والجميع.
